Rock-n-Roll Through Memorial Day Week at the Beach with Gregg Allman

Memorial Day Weekend is the official kick-off to summer 2014. What better way to celebrate than by sinking your toes in the sugar white sand and shimmering turquoise waters along our beaches? In addition to fun-filled days at the beach, this is your chance to see Southern Rock legend Gregg Allman live in concert on Wednesday, May 28 at the Green at Gulf Place on 30A.

This special Memorial Week concert will pay homage to our nation’s heroes, and a portion of the concert’s proceeds will benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

Gregg Allman is listed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the “100 greatest singers of all time” and has had seven solo chart-topping albums over his 40 plus year career, including his 2011 Grammy nominated album “Low Country Blues.” Allman introduced the world to Southern Rock and a remarkable catalogue of original songs.
During the show, he’ll perform classic Allman Brothers hits as well as some of his blues infused songs off his solo albums, “Low Country Blues” and “All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs and Voice of Gregg Allman.”

Gates open at 3:30 p.m. with opening acts throughout the day and Gregg Allman performing live at 7:30 p.m.  Concert goers are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy lunch and shopping at Gulf Place restaurants and shops to avoid traffic. Satellite parking and shuttle service will also be available.
