While some see Labor Day weekend as the end of summer, Dale E. Peterson Vacations sees Labor Day as the kick-off to one of the best seasons of all at the beach - glorious fall. Fall at the beach is a lot like summer at the beach - same shimmering Gulf waters, same brilliant sunshine and same sugar-sand beaches. Weekends in October are jam-packed with activities and events designed to showcase all the Emerald Coast has to offer. Kicking off the month’s events calendar is the Destin Fishing Rodeo. Along with the Destin Fishing Rodeo comes the Destin Seafood Festival. This annual event is a mainstay for the local community and celebrates the vibrant Destin harbor with seafood, live music, arts and crafts and so much more. One of the newest events to hit the scene is South Walton Fashion Week , October 10 - 12, 2014. Featuring regional designers in fashion, jewelry and accessories as well as local boutiques, the multi-day event culminates with a glamorous runway show at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin.  
  
Looking to quench your thirst this fall? Look no further than the Baytowne Beer Festival on October 17 and 18, 2014. Sample 200 domestic and international craft beers as well as learn about the brews offered from brewery representatives. Enjoy live music as you sample and stroll along the shell-paved streets of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin.  
  
October ends with one of the area’s best juried art festivals, the Mattie Kelly Festival of the Arts, October 25 - 26, 2014. The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin is home to this year’s event featuring more than 100 regional artists in a variety of mediums. Live music and children’s arts & crafts make this the perfect family-friendly event.  
  
And, November brings to the beach the popular Seeing Red Wine Festival, November 6 - 9, 2014 at Seaside, and Blue, Brews & BBQ at HarborWalk Village in Destin on November 8, 2014. Enjoy libations, great food and live music at each event.
