Beach Hacks for More Fun in the Sun

The Emerald Coast is known for its sugar white sand beaches and warm waters so you'll certainly want to spend a few days lounging on the beaches during your visit to the area. Here are a few hacks to make your visit easier and leave more time for fun in the sun.

Bringing a cooler with drinks and snacks is a great idea until the sun has melted all the ice, leaving everything inside warm. If you freeze water bottles the night before, you'll be able to use them as ice packs which will keep everything cooler for hours. Another option is freezing Capri Suns, they'll keep items cool and make a yummy slushy for the kids (and adults) during the day.

Keep your phone safe by placing it in a clear sandwich bag. You’ll still be able to use the touchscreen without any danger of water.

Playing in the sand is fun, but it seems to stick everywhere. To get sand off your body, rub baby powder and it'll come right off. Pack the beach toys in a mesh laundry bag so it sifts the sand on the beach instead of in the car.

A day at the beach with small children can be nerve-wracking thinking they might crawl away if you turn your back. You can buy a cheap kiddie pool to put in the sand, which will keep the from straying.

For those especially hot days make a batch of green tea and leave it in the fridge overnight. In the morning, pour the tea into a mist bottle. Spray it on your face throughout the day to stay cool and moisturized.

The most important hack is to stay steps away from the beach to enjoy it all day. So don't wait, reserve your condo today!
