2. These fish average 30 pounds, so using medium to heavy spinning tackle is a must.

Cobia World Championships - Another huge annual event, the Cobia World Championships run throughout cobia season. This competition also includes fun events throughout the tournament including a kickoff party and an awards dinner. Proceeds from the Cobia World Championships benefit charities.
