Emerald Coast Events to Attend on Your Summer Vacation
Are you looking for something fun and FREE to do with your family in Destin this summer, we’ve got you covered! Check out the free events listed below that are offered all summer long along Florida’s Emerald Coast.
Fireworks at The Boardwalk
The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island celebrates summer with a free fireworks show every Wednesday at 9 p.m. Bring a beach chair or grab a seat at one of the restaurants along the Boardwalk and enjoy the show in the sky. The fireworks launch from the nearby Okaloosa Island Pier.
Weekly Events at the Hub 30A
The Hub on 30A is the perfect place to go for those looking to attend local events throughout their beach vacation. With an event offered every day of the week, a trip to the Hub is definitely something you can fit into your vacation.
Sundays - Kids’ Movie Night at 7 p.m.
Mondays - DJ Dance Party at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesdays - Family Movie Night at 7 p.m.
Thursdays - Yoga on the Lawn at 8:30 a.m.
Fridays - DJ Dance Party at 6:30 p.m.
Live music on most Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays (check their website for the line-up!)
Summer Concert Series at HarborWalk Village
While the HarborWalk also offers free events on most days including Fat Tuesday parades and Monday movie nights, they are best known for the concerts they host on Saturday evenings. HarborWalk Village’s Annual Rock the Docks Concert Series is returning to Destin with one of the best line-ups yet! Head to the HarborWalk on Saturdays from June to mid-August to enjoy tunes from local favorites and touring acts.
Workouts at the Market Shops
The Market Shops offers free fitness classes on the lawn on Mondays & Fridays from May-July. Pure Barre class is offered at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays. This class features low impact, high-intensity movements that are designed to strengthen and tone. On Fridays at 9 a.m., an OrangeTheory Fitness class is provided, focusing on circuits that include lower and upper body weight exercises. Cold complimentary juice shots from nearby Clean Juice are offered after every session. Bring a yoga mat and enjoy the free fitness classes offered for you!
Hydroflight Shows at The Village of Baytowne Wharf
Baytowne Wharf also offers an array of free events, but the most unique show is by far the hydro flight, offered every Monday evening throughout June and July. A flyboard extraordinaire soars over the lagoon and makes waves at Baytowne Wharf. It is an event like no other along the Emerald Coast!
